One of our clients, is an innovative and fast-growing startup in the space technology sector, holding the patent for design and manufacturing of single-piece rocket engine. As a high-growth, mission-driven company, we are looking for a visionary Director / VP Human Resources who can build and scale our HR function while aligning people strategy with business goals.


Role Overview

The Director / VP HR will be a strategic partner to the leadership team, responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that foster innovation, attract top talent, and build a high-performance culture. This role is ideal for a senior HR leader with a blend of aerospace engineering background and deep HR expertise, who understands the nuances of scaling technology-driven organizations.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to design and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s growth and innovation goals.
  • Establish HR policies, practices, and systems for a fast-growing startup environment.
  • Serve as a cultural steward, fostering an environment of collaboration, agility, and innovation.

Talent Management & Acquisition

  • Build strategies to attract, hire, and retain top aerospace, engineering, and technology talent.
  • Establish university relations and industry partnerships to create a strong talent pipeline.
  • Oversee leadership development and succession planning.

Organization Development & Culture

  • Drive initiatives that strengthen organizational design, leadership capabilities, and change management.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across the organization.
  • Build employee engagement programs that foster a culture of innovation, trust, and ownership.

Performance & Learning

  • Develop and oversee performance management frameworks aligned with company goals.
  • Implement learning and development programs tailored for engineers, scientists, and technical teams.
  • Build leadership capability across all levels of the organization.

Compensation & Benefits

Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering (Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical preferred) with a Master’s in HR / Business Administration (desirable).
  • Experience: 15+ years of HR leadership experience, with at least 7+ years in aerospace/space technology/engineering-intensive industries.
  • Proven track record of building HR functions from the ground up in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace/space industry talent requirements and challenges.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on ability to execute in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance innovation, compliance, and organizational growth
