Key Responsibilities:

· Producing high quality packages and lives

· Writing scripts, lead-ins, headlines and subbing

· Editing video for ulays, headlines and packages

· Selecting video and sound bites for headlines, news-belts and packages

· Conceiving, writing, and executing graphics in packages and lives

· Working with our reporters/correspondents to create content for digital

· Writing and editing pictures for shorter bulletins throughout the day and at weekends

· Being present in the gallery for TX to time the programmes and monitor breaking stories

· Being present in the gallery to pre-record elements for the main programme

· Being alert to news wires and breaking stories

· Sourcing and logging of pictures and stills when needed

· Occasional work in the field required

· Occasional acting up to cover the Assistant Programme Editor role required

· Working on special projects and long-term stories as required

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Knowledge and experience of news and current affairs

· Attention to detail, scrupulous checking of facts

· Ambitious journalist who can spot a story and tell it in a clear and innovative way

· Experience of Avid (or equivalent editing software) beneficial but not essential

· Previous output producer experience desirable

· High quality news judgement, with initiative

· Visual flair for spotting strong pictures and producing graphics

· Excellent writing ability

· Technical adaptability and flexibility

· Good interpersonal skills; a team player with personal authority and the ability to manage a group of people

· Calm under pressure with the ability to adapt and be flexible in task and role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40, ₹85,000.00 per month
