The Opportunity

We are building a team with strong MS SQL Server Database and NoSQL skills who will partner with the development teams to architect, design, automate database systems and deployments and embrace new technologies. What We’re Seeking

BS in MIS or Computer Science plus 7+ Years Database Administration experienceWillingness to work in Wednesday-Sunday- EMEA Shift (2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST)Oracle/MySQL Certifications preferredMust have Operational DBA Experience with Oracle 11G/12C/18C/19C RAC/ASM 5+ years and extensive experience with OracleHands-on experience in applying Oracle patches to Oracle RACHands-on experience with Unix/Linux, Oracle Data Guard, Golden Gate and exposure to AWSHas some Operational DBA Experience with MySQLKnowledge Backup/RecoveryUnderstanding of OEM Grid ControlKnowledge of Unix Shell and writing scripts to automate operational DB tasksExperience with SQL Server, MySQL, Couchbase, and Postgres would be a plus

What You’ll Contribute

Supporting Oracle, MySQL, Couchbase, AWS RDS and other database systems in a 24 x 7 environmentOn-call responsibilities (rotation) to support production systemsPlanning, implementing and managing the physical databases of mission critical OLTP and Decision Support systems Capacity planning to determine future storage needsMonitoring and improving database and application performanceProviding development and tuning support to implementation teamsTroubleshooting production performance issuesDeveloping processes and procedures to enhance the stability and performance of database environment and our level of support to our client teamsEnsuring that backup, restore and recovery procedures are implemented and followedWill be required to work with internal and external clients to resolve issuesWill require to be on call as well as work outside normal business hoursNo travel as part of job but minimal travel might be needed for systems and technologies training as needed
