Position: Senior Executive – GST

Department: Accounts & Finance
Location: Bandra
Reporting to: GM-Finance

Job Purpose:

To handle all aspects of Goods & Services Tax (GST) compliance, returns, reconciliations, audits, and advisory to ensure accurate and timely compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • GST Compliance & Filing
  • Preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C).
  • Reconciliation of GSTR-2A/2B with purchase register and ensuring proper ITC (Input Tax Credit) availment.
  • Handling amendments, corrections, and responding to GST notices.
  • Accounting & Reconciliation
  • Verification of GST input and output ledgers in books of accounts.
  • Vendor reconciliation and resolving mismatches related to GST.
  • Monthly reconciliation between GST returns and financial statements.
  • Audits & Assessments
  • Assisting in GST audits, departmental inquiries, and assessments.
  • Coordination with auditors, consultants, and government authorities.
  • Advisory & Updates
  • Keeping track of latest GST notifications, circulars, and amendments.
  • Advising management on tax planning, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Cross-functional Support
  • Coordinating with Purchase, Sales, and Operations teams for correct GST implementation on transactions.
  • Support in ERP/SAP/Tally/Spectrum entries related to GST.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of GST laws, rules, and procedures.
  • Hands-on experience in GST return filing, reconciliation, and audit support.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally ERP/SAP or other accounting software.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B. Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA (Finance) preferred.
  • Experience: 5–6 years of relevant experience in GST compliance and accounting.
