Engineer II – Project Engineering

to work at our India Engineering Center campus in Bengaluru, India. The successful candidate will join the Engineering Support To Operations (ESTO) team to provide production and field support for our operational commercial engine components.GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB PURPOSEThis position is for a Project Engineering professional working with limited support. Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets, tracks progress, resolves problems, develops solutions, and forecasts project revenue. Coordinates with other functional organizations. Identifies and addresses project problems, analyzes data gathered, and develops solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance.JOB ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES OR TASKSSupports the development of project plans, schedules and budgetsTracks progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operationsSupports in the preparation of status and technical content to CIPT and upper Pratt & Whitney managementAnalyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of workWork closely with IPT members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvementsSupports Class 1 and Class 2 engineering change executionMaintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are metSupport in the execution of risks assessments and mitigation plansIdentifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projectsFacilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectivesOTHER MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES OR TASKSAttend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training requiredActively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using ACE tools and support AS9100 effortsBased on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the companySupport project management activitiesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering; and 3 years to 8 years of relevant engineering experienceORMaster’s Degree in a Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering field; and 1 year to 6 years of relevant engineering experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience working in the Aerospace IndustryPrevious gas turbine experienceWorking proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project or other scheduling softwareThe ability to craft clear communication and build positive relationshipsExperience with Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong interpersonal skillsExcellent at promoting teamworkIn addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
