Primary Responsibilities

● Demonstrate a deep understanding of frontend technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

● Guide the team in making well-informed technical decisions and design choices to optimize application performance, usability, and scalability.

● Explore new open-source technologies, adopt and contribute back to open-source.

● Define and drive the best software development/engineering and operational practices for the team.

● Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.

● Build, mentor, and lead a team of frontend developers, helping them grow, develop their careers and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

● Set clear objectives and expectations for the team, aligning their efforts with the company's goals and product roadmap.

● Foster effective communication and collaboration between frontend and backend development teams to ensure seamless integration of components.

● Partnering with Product Management and Design to lead feature execution across engineering disciplines to deliver great experiences.

● Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or roadblocks, proactively taking measures to address them.


What Are We Looking For?

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

● Engineers who are obsessed with optimizations and are ready to go the extra mile to deliver the best app experience to the customers.

● 8 + years of experience building high scale web applications.

● 1+ years of experience handling a team of 6+ people.

● Proficient with React, Javascript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

● Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax and Typescript.

● Good to have hands-on experience on Tailwind, Next.js, MaterialUI and other frontend frameworks.

● Experience in writing unit testing code with libraries like Jest, Enzyme,

● Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

● Worked in a startup environment with high levels of ownership and commitment.

● A growth mindset and passion about building things from the ground up, and most importantly, you should be fun to work with.
