Job DescriptionJob Description:We are seeking a skilled and motivated RF Engineer to join our team and take a lead role in thedesign, development, and testing of UHF RFID Reader Antennas. As an RF Engineer, you willplay a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and functionality of our RFID readersystems by designing efficient and high-performance UHF RFID antennas and conductingthorough testing and validation.

Key Responsibilities:1. Antenna Design and Optimization:Design and develop UHF RFID reader antennas tailored to specific application

requirements.

Utilize electromagnetic simulation tools (such as CST Microwave Studio, HFSS, or

equivalent) to model and optimize antenna designs.

Consider factors such as gain, beam width, polarization, impedance matching, and

radiation pattern to achieve optimal performance.

2. Prototyping and Fabrication:Work with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers and manufacturing personnel to fabricate antenna prototypes.

Collaborate on selecting suitable materials and fabrication techniques for antenna construction.

3. RF Testing and Validation:Plan and conduct comprehensive RF testing and validation of antenna prototypes.

Utilize RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, an echoic chambers, etc.) to measure and analyze antenna performance parameters.

Identify and resolve issues related to impedance matching, radiation pattern, and other performance metrics.

4. Simulation and Modeling:Use simulation tools to model antenna behavior and predict performance outcomes.

Fine-tune antenna designs based on simulation results to achieve desires

5. Documentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed documentation of antenna designs, simulations, testing procedures, and results.

Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate design decisions, optimization strategies, and performance findings to internal teams and stakeholders.

6. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Communication:Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software engineers to integrate the antenna designs into the overall RFID reader system.

Work closely with product management and marketing teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into effective antenna solutions.

7.Stay Abreast of Industry Trends:Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in RF and antenna technologies, industry standards, and regulations relevant to RFID systems.

Requirements

Qualifications:Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.

Proven experience in designing and optimizing UHF RFID reader antennas.

Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation tools (CST Microwave Studio, HFSS, etc.).

Strong understanding of RF principles, antenna theory, and electromagnetic field behavior.

Experience with RF test equipment and measurement techniques.

Knowledge of RFID technologies and standards, especially UHF RFID (EPC Gen2).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines.

Ability to work independently and manage projects from concept to completion.

Preferred Additional Skills:Experience with PCB layout design for antennas.

Familiarity with RF circuit design and impedance matching techniques.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards (FCC, ETSI, etc.).
