Experience Range 5-12 years
Desired Competencies-Must-Have (Ideally should not be more than)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
5-12 years of experience in motion control or propulsion system development for vehicles
Strong knowledge of control theory and its application to vehicle systems
Expertise in model-based design and control system development
Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and other relevant simulation tools
Experience with real-time control system implementation and calibration
Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, FlexRay)
Understanding of vehicle dynamics and powertrain systems
Good-to-Have
Experience with hybrid or electric vehicle propulsion systems
Knowledge of vehicle stability control systems and algorithms
Familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture and implementation
Experience with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing
Understanding of functional safety concepts (ISO 26262)
Exposure to machine learning techniques for control applications
Experience with rapid control prototyping tools
Knowledge of energy management strategies for various powertrain types
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
Design, develop, and implement advanced motion and propulsion control algorithms
Integrate control systems with various vehicle subsystems and powertrains
Optimize vehicle performance, efficiency, and drivability through control strategies
Conduct system modeling, simulation, and analysis using tools like Simulink/Matlab
Develop and execute test plans for control system validation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
Troubleshoot complex control system issues and propose innovative solutions
