Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for industrial automation systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to design control systems for new projects.
  • Conduct system testing, validation, and debugging to ensure optimal PLC performance.
  • Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for PLC-related issues.
  • Integrate PLC systems with other automation equipment such as sensors, actuators, HMIs and SCADA.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including program specifications, manuals, and system configurations.
  • Monitor and optimize control system performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure preventative and corrective maintenance of PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Stay current on advancements in PLC programming techniques and software updates.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in working with Siemens S7 1200 / S7 1500 PLC programming.
  • Proficient in FBD, SCL & LAD programming languages.
  • Experience with SCADA systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with process control application programming is preferred.
  • Understanding of process control systems and SCADA software.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with confirmed growth path.
  • Must be willing to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heavy machinery and equipment.
  • On-call support may be necessary in some situations.
