Job Role – Performance Testing Engineer ( SSE/ Lead)
Work Experience – 3-6 years
Location: Gurgaon/Noida
Role & Responsibilities
- Conducting performance, load, stress, volume testing of various modules
- Developing performance test plans, strategies, test frameworks((Jmeter, Loadrunner, Webload)
- Cover both API as well as UI during performance tests
- Performance workload analysis (WLA) for arriving at optimal load
- Keeping track of performance of production and other environments
- Identifying performance issues with the help of diagnostic tools
- Maintaining performance response time (RTs) trend across releases
- Experience of working on scrum model and clear understanding of roles involved
- Experience of working w/ multi-location global teams in different time-zones
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience in performance testing of web based applications using JMeter or similars
- Hands on experience with Linux, DB, Web Servers, App Servers
- Experience in building test frameworks and integrating within a CI stack using tools like SVN/GIT, Codeship/Jenkins, Ant, Maven, Puppet, JIRA
- Strong experience in analysis of client and server-side metrics to verify the performance of the applications.
- Experience in virtualization technologies is a plus
- Working experience with synthetic monitoring tools (ThousandEyes, NewRelic, etc.)
- Hands on programming experience viz. Java/ Python/ Perl
- Experience of one of build automation tools (Ant, Perl, Shell, Python, Maven, Gradle, Groovy)
- Hands on experience with JIRA & Confluence
- Excellent debugging skills and not just stop at reporting defects
- Experience of working with large scale product testing with an ability to test complex integrated software applications in multiple environments.
