About the Role :

- We are seeking a highly experienced Big Data Architect to join our team and lead the design, development, and implementation of our big data solutions.

- This role is ideal for a candidate with a deep understanding of big data technologies and a proven track record of delivering scalable and robust big data architectures.

Responsibilities :

- Lead the design and development of big data architectures that meet the evolving needs of the business.

- Select and implement big data technologies, including but not limited to :


1. Cloudera

2. Apache Spark

3. Open-source big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Kafka, HDFS)

4. Data warehousing solutions (e.g., Hive, Redshift)

5. NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)

- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Develop and maintain big data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.

- Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of big data platforms.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the big data landscape.

- Mentor and guide junior team members on big data concepts and best practices.

- Document architectural decisions and designs for future reference.

- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications :

- 12-16 years of experience in big data architecture and design.

- Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying big data solutions on-premises or in the cloud.

- In-depth knowledge of distributed processing frameworks like Apache Spark.

- Strong understanding of open-source big data technologies, including Hadoop ecosystem tools.

- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and solutions (e.g., Hive, Redshift).

- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
