Data Scientist Intern (Contract (3 months) to Hire)


Company Overview:  Stealth AI Healthcare is a pioneering health technology startup focused on revolutionizing healthcare through advanced AI solutions.

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Data Scientist Intern  to join our team for a 3-month internship. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge healthcare AI projects, with the potential for full-time employment based on performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior data scientists and cross-functional teams to develop and implement machine learning models.
  • Assist in analyzing and processing medical datasets, including clinical and patient health records.
  • Support research initiatives by experimenting with and evaluating various AI techniques such as deep learning, transfer learning, and attention mechanisms.
  • Document processes and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education:  Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised methods.
  • Knowledge of data preprocessing techniques and handling large datasets.
  • Familiarity with deep learning architectures such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and recurrent neural networks (RNNs) is a plus.
  • Healthcare Domain Knowledge:  Exposure to medical datasets, electronic health records (EHRs), or healthcare-related projects is a bonus.
  • Research Interest:  A demonstrated interest in healthcare AI through coursework, projects, or internships.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
