ETL TesterAs an ETL Tester, your primary responsibilities include manual testing for ETL testing, such as SQL, scripting languages, and tools like SSIS and Query surge. Able to test ETL processed efficiently. With 5 years of experience will have a strong foundation in data validation and be able to handle complex ETL processes. Here are some key roles and responsibilities:Advanced Test Design and Execution:Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering all aspects of the ETL process (extract, transform, load).Create detailed test cases for functional, non-functional, and data quality testing.Utilize SQL to write complex queries for data validation across source, staging, and target systems.Perform performance testing to identify bottlenecks and ensure efficient data flow.Data Quality Expertise:Analyze data lineage to understand the flow of data throughout the ETL process.Implement data profiling techniques to identify anomalies and inconsistencies in the data.Design and execute test scripts to verify data accuracy, completeness, and validity based on business rules.Work with data engineers to define and enforce data quality standards.Automation and Tool Proficiency:Develop and maintain automated test scripts using ETL testing tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python).Integrate ETL testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.Utilize data profiling tools to automate data quality checks.Stay up-to-date on the latest ETL testing tools and technologies.Collaboration and Communication:Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand business needs.Effectively communicate test results and identify data quality issues to stakeholders (developers, data engineers, business analysts).Work collaboratively with developers and data engineers to resolve data quality issues and improve ETL processes.Document test plans, test cases, and defects clearly and concisely.

Must have:• Strong understanding of DWH concepts and ETL testing methodology• Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering all aspects of the ETL process and experience in testing Data Warehousing solutions using the MSBI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)• Create detailed test cases for functional, non-functional, and data quality testing.• Utilize SQL to write complex queries for data validation across source, staging, and target systems• Good exposure migration approach for the cloud-based Data platform using Microsoft Azure.• Work with data engineers to define and enforce data quality standards.• Excellent documentation skills around producing and maintaining the Testing artifacts for BI projects.• Hands on experience to carry out automation POCs by using Automation tool• Effectively communicate test results and identify data quality issues to stakeholders (developers, data engineers, business analysts).• Work collaboratively with developers and data engineers to resolve data quality issues and improve ETL processes.• Document test plans, test cases, and defects clearly and concisely.• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using ETL testing tools or scripting languages using QuerysurgePrefer to have:• Integrate ETL testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.• Utilize data profiling tools to automate data quality checks.• Azure certification• Participate in code reviews for ETL logic.• Contribute to the development of ETL testing best practices within the organization.• Explore and implement new data quality tools and methodologies
