Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwideAlstom are now looking for the DevOps Architect, who will be working on the infrastructure design and the configuration and the operations of the Data Platform, within a lean startup pathway and in collaboration of IoT experts, data scientists, software engineers, Data Architect and API Architect.RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare product technical design and architecture. Contribute for design review, code review and change management.Own entire DevOps lifecycle of product – ensure smooth code integration, optimize release management process, automate and manage deployment environments – On-premise and Cloud.Troubleshoot and provide technical support and guidance to users of the product who will mainly be railway system architects, data scientists, data engineers.Constantly mentor team members to adopt better cloud techniques and constantly improve the system design.Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process. ( Azure and on-premise)Standardize the software development release management process.Write and maintain product technical documentation – Release process, upgrade process, patch management.Provide guidance to data platform users on best practices to develop container based applications that can be deployed on-premises as well as on cloud and support Data Science/Data engineering teams with production workloads and best practices of deployment.Analyse technical choices with data backed decisions and alignment to product strategy.Qualifications & Skills:EDUCATIONUniversity background: Bachelors/Master’s degree in computer science & information systems or related engineering.BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:Outstanding Technical leader with proven hands on in configuration and deployment of DevOps towards successful delivery.Capability to guide and support other devops engineers.Be Innovative and be aligned to new product development technologies and methods.Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional settingProven capabilities with worldwide teamsTeam Player with prior experience in working with European customer is not mandatory but preferable.Ref: Leadership Dimensions:TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE10+ years in IT and/or digital companies.Excellent understanding of Ansible, Terraform, PythonExperience in Scripting (PowerShell/ Python/ Bash) to create reusable componentsGood to have Go programming experience in Kubernetes.Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systemsStrong technical problem-solving skills, and analytical skills to define architecture and approach for DevOpsExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Mandatory knowledge on

Kubernetes.

Knowledge in

rancher

is a plus.Mandatory experience of developing

helm charts and Kubernetes operators.Experience with Azure cloud-based provisioning, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting and related automation technologiesUnderstanding of platform security best practices and how to implement & monitorExperience in cloud technologies & tools, Service Models, and Deployment ModelsExperience in security protocols, digital certificates, SSL/TLS, Key and secrets managementExperience digging through logs and metrics to triage and fix incidents - systematic problem-solving approach with a sense of ownershipGood understanding of concepts including Networking, Routing, Load Balancing, Redundancy, Disaster Recovery, VPN, Firewalls, etc.Strong in source control/configuration management including Git, and GitLab; familiarity with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio Code a plusExperience working with data engineering and data science teams and data platforms is a plus.Experience working on vmware/openshift is a plus.Experience on AKS is mandatoryPrevious experience as platform architect/solution architect is preferredAlstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow’s mobility.
