Data Migration Lead

You'll lead the data migration and analysis work for our clients, partnering closely with our teams and clients to shape and identify requirements and develop new data models in line with the client's data migration strategy. This role is at the heart of our digital transformation projects, where you will be instrumental in shaping and executing strategies that integrate cutting-edge technologies and practices.

This role requires a strong background and demonstrated experience in leading the transition from legacy 'on-prem' systems to Azure-based cloud solutions.

Responsibilities :

- Collect, document, and verify business requirements and functional specifications.

- Map business requirements to functional requirements.

- Develop and deliver project documentation including requirements traceability matrix, business process design, configuration design.

- Identify gaps in the standard product functionality.

- Recommend effective solutions. Design any customizations or extensions where there is a gap in the standard product functionality.

- Interface between technical teams and client/users.

- Design solutions in conjunction with technical teams.

- Ensure deliverables are being met on a timely basis.

- Create/ review test scenarios, scripts, test plans and execute them.

- Testing and delivering application documentation.

- Conduct system training.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5+ years' experience in hands-on roles such as Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Data Migration, demonstrating a strong foundation and practical expertise in data-centric positions.

- Proven experience leading successful data migration projects, preferably from a legacy on-premises environment to Azure.

- In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services, database systems, ETL processes, and data modelling.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- In-depth knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security standards.

- Proficiency in relevant programming languages and data migration tools.

- Problem-solving.
