Position : HIL Test Engineer Experience : 4 Years Location : Bangalore, Pune (On-site, 5 days work from office) Notice Period : Immediate Joiners Only About the Job : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HIL Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore or Pune. This role focuses on "Quick Connect" projects, addressing urgent and critical HIL testing demands within the automotive infotainment domain. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automated test solutions using NI HIL platforms and Python scripting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN/UDS) and have hands-on experience with NI TestStand, VeriStand, or LabVIEW. As an immediate joiner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our automotive infotainment systems through rigorous HIL testing. Responsibilities : HIL Test Development & Execution : - Design, develop, and execute automated test cases using NI HIL platforms (TestStand, VeriStand, or LabVIEW) for automotive infotainment systems. - Create and maintain HIL test setups and configurations, ensuring accurate and reliable test environments. - Perform comprehensive testing of embedded software and hardware components in a HIL environment. - Analyze test results, identify defects, and generate detailed test reports. - Troubleshoot HIL test failures and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues. Test Automation & Scripting : - Develop and maintain Python scripts for test automation and data analysis. - Utilize CAPL scripting (if applicable) for CAN network testing and simulation. - Implement efficient and scalable test automation frameworks. - Optimize existing test scripts for performance and reliability. Automotive Domain Expertise : - Apply a strong understanding of automotive domain concepts, particularly within infotainment systems. - Work with CAN/UDS communication protocols for testing and diagnostics. - Understand and interpret automotive specifications and requirements. Collaboration & Communication : - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and system architects. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on test progress and issues. - Document test procedures and best practices. - Work within a fast paced environment, and be ready to respond to quick demands. Required Skills & Experience : Experience : - 4 years of experience in HIL testing, preferably within the automotive industry. - Hands-on experience with NI HIL platforms (TestStand, VeriStand, or LabVIEW). - Proficient in Python scripting for test automation. - Strong understanding of automotive domain, specifically infotainment systems. - Solid understanding of CAN and UDS communication protocols. - Experience in developing and implementing test automation frameworks. - Experience in CAPL scripting (preferred). - Familiarity with software testing methodologies and best practices. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Notice Period : Must be able to join immediately. Location : Must be willing to work on-site in Bangalore or Pune (5 days a week). Preferred Skills : - Experience with other automotive communication protocols (e.g., LIN, Ethernet). - Knowledge of automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262). - Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. - Experience with other test tools such as Vector Canoe.
