Role & responsibilities

  • Responsible for Procurement of items from International Suppliers
  • Development of alternate local source for Imports
  • Making & Issuance of Purchase order
  • Knowledge of Imports and Export Documentation and Rules regulations and closely working with Customs house agents for on time shipping and clearance of goods
  • Identification of Potential Suppliers, Vendor selection, assessment, acceptance.
  • Supply Chain Optimization, Supplier Delivery & Quality Improvements
  • Optimization of Supplier Base.
  • Costing and rate finalization of development items & Negotiation of prices.
  • MRP, Min-Max & Kanban Planning
  • Ordering on established Suppliers & Expediting Supplies and ensuring timely Material Arrival
  • Interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Quality and Finance
  • Addressing & reconciling of vendor payments

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Sound Knowledge in Import Material Planning & Procurement and Overall Commodity Exposure in Bought out items, Machining, Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics Items, Rubber, Engine and Engine accessories.
