Lead the Investment Analysis engagements for any new project/opportunity being assessed and manage the execution of deliverables and timelines. Develop OR lead development of detailed financial model to generate relevant insights as well as running various sensitivities on feasibility and viability of the investment within the limits of organizational policies and guidelines. Mentor, develop, monitor and drive performance of team subordinates and induce a high-performance culture.
Collaborate with the BD / M&A team to obtain a preliminary version of the project/opportunity financial model .Interface with concerned team members to gather detailed information for further refining of the financial model . Manage development of draft financial model for the evaluation of the concerned opportunity with detailed commercial assessments (such as expenditure analysis, portfolio assessment, value assessment, financial analysis, ROI / IRR / Valuation for the identified business opportunity) . Interact with BD and other teams to ensure all assumptions and risks are appropriately accounted for in the financial model; Resolve any queries they might have on the model.
Attend various industry seminars and trainings to keep abreast of latest tools used in financial modelling .Manage interactions with Senior Management and Shareholders on the financial model and key findings Strategic and Business planning support . Contribute to overall strategy and business planning exercise by providing updates and facts on business performance of existing assets to senior management .Prepare strategic growth plan projections basis the growth targets and assumptions decided by senior management and Shareholders .Carry out internal valuation of Portfolio on periodic basis as required by senior management and Shareholders. Support strategic divestment / stake sale mandates via data room management, co-ordination with external advisors and interactions with counter parties. Drive and frontend the external valuation / consulting mandates and ensure they meet the internal delivery timelines Perform sector research and analytical support Closely track the renewable and transmission bids, evaluate the tariff feasibility for and gauge the market’s competitive intensity Also evaluate prominent M&A deals in the sector from the perspective of valuation rationality, competitor strategies and market trends  Responsible to drive preparation / presentation of periodic research reports covering various sectoral aspects for internal consumption Establish and maintain outreach with external analysts covering the sector and keeping oneself updated with current events Team management and development Mentor and guide team subordinates to enable them to execute
Minimum education qualifications for the position: MBA (in Finance) with a graduation in Engineering is preferred.
Thorough understanding of the Indian Power Industry .Knowledge on project appraisal and project financing . Ability to manage and drive team performance. Deep knowledge of regulatory framework on power industry .Communication and Influencing Skills.
