Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Create well-documented code and the associated unit, component, and integration tests, which are run through our Continuous Integration Environments to prevent regression and give you instant feedback on what you have written.Translate feature requests from product requirements to an actual implementation in the product. For this position, the features are situated in the field of: Compatibility with the AWS S3 APIData flow from incoming request to storing it efficiently and durably on Performance optimization of the ActiveScale productScalability of the ActiveScale product to support up to exabytes of storage on a single system, while being able to refresh the underlying hardwareBeing able to iterate through a feature development iteration by starting with a POC version, maturing the code through iterative cycles, presenting useful demos to your peers and external parties, and wrapping it up with sufficient automated testing and clear documentation.Iterate on improving design and functionality of existing You have the liberty and opportunity to get off the beaten path in the name of improvement.Design from the perspective of our customers to create value and appreciation for ourThe above is a guide to general expectation of the role; we expect this position to evolve, allowing a path for greater scope, gaining knowledge and experience along the way.Required Skills and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Experience with one of the following: Python, Go, C++, Java, OCaml and/or willingness to develop skills in additional programming languages.Experience with API protocols such as REST, gRPC, orBasic administration and troubleshooting of UbuntuUnderstanding of Cloud and Enterprise storage concepts andUnderstanding of scaling concepts (sharding, networking, distributed computing).Understanding of characteristics of different storage media like HDD, SSD, NVMe, andComfortable working with a global and distributed
