Senior Software Technologist I(C++)Job Description

the right care in real time during the procedure to enable better outcomes for each patient and at population level.You will be working in the Interventional Applications Cluster ( IAC ) within IGT-Systems. This cluster plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of clinical solutions for our customers and the platform to host it. We build and maintain around 18+ advanced interventional applications used in conjunction with our interventional X-ray system in hospitals. These are typically 2D and 3D navigational applications used during minimally invasive procedures and running on Windows based PC platforms.If this resonates with you, we would like to get in contact with you for the position of ‘Software Designer/Software Engineer.Responsibilities and Key Result Areas:The software designer within the Interventional Applications Cluster:Creates working software using C++C #/.NET is added advantageDevelops features in an agile approachActively participates in sprint planning, daily stand‐up meetings, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives and backlog refinement.Contributes to continuous improvement of the team, software and processesDesigns, codes, documents, tests (automated), maintains and deploys softwareSupports DevOps in deploying softwareSets, monitors and ensures to meet own performance metricsDefines, monitors and meets performance and quality metricsProvides technical solutions that conform to requirements with a strong focus on end‐users, high quality (QMS/regulatory standards), performance, safety and securityKeeps abreast of technical knowledge by studying and implementing state‐of‐the‐art programming & design techniques and development tools, participating in educational opportunities, participating in communities of practice, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networksLead design and development of high quality, re-useable, high performance SW componentsLead the design of software components and work with the team to realize the implementationLeverage software technologies to build simple and robust solutionsSupport scrum master/project management in estimation, planning and execution of the software componentsEnsure that performance / nonfunctional requirements are defined and addressed by teamsMentor the junior members of the team on technical aspectsServe as a driving force for SW functional excellencePromote domain knowledge, system thinking, and customer understandingIdentify patentable Idea from the project and fileExperience & QualificationsOverall around 12 years of experience in software development with at least 3 years in C++Experience & firm knowledge in software design concepts and design patternsExperience in the system design and implementation of complex, multi-generation, SW products.Experience with Agile methodology, tools and practices.Familiar with client-server and distributed environmentsProven working experience in global, multidiscipline environmentPreferable - Exposure to healthcare standards (HL7, IHE) and regulations.Behavioral competencies:Customer FocusTech SavvyCultivates InnovationDrives ResultsResourcefulnessPlans and AlignsManages ConflictSituational AdaptabilityCollaboratesFunctional competencies:Programming languages & paradigms, methodologies and techniques (e.g. CleanCode)Software design (SOLID, DRY) including software design patternsLean / Agile / SAFeSoftware Craftsmanship
