This role is part of our platforms engineering team. Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:


  • Take the lead on information security at Murf.
  • Work hands-on with security architecture, and policies, respond to RFPs, etc.
  • Work strategically with the executive team to drive security initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally across engineering, legal, and commercial:
  • Engineering: Architecture and security reviews. Manage and improve SDLC.
  • Legal: Drive compliance and certification projects. Manage ISMS.
  • Commercial: Support pre-sales and act as subject matter expert in customer calls.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in IT systems and processes


Qualifications:


  • Experience in infosec of 1-3 years
  • Audit and Compliance: Strong understanding of IT audit methodologies, control frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST etc)
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other relevant certifications are often required or preferred.
  • Security Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies, including network security, application security, and data security
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Science or a related field.
