Job Description: Mechanical Diploma Fitter

Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / ITI Fitter
Experience: 0 to 3 years (Freshers & Experienced both can apply)

Job Summary:

SSPL is hiring energetic and skilled Mechanical Diploma / ITI Fitters for Maintenance, Production, and Quality departments. Candidates will be responsible for operating machines, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities: Maintenance

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines and tools
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
  • Maintain records of machine servicing and repairs

Production

  • Operate mechanical machines like lathe, milling, drilling, etc.
  • Follow work instructions and meet daily production targets
  • Ensure machine setups and cleaning are done as per SOPs

Quality

  • Inspect components using measuring tools (Vernier, micrometer, gauges)
  • Follow quality procedures and report any defects
  • Support quality audits and maintain inspection records

Required Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and machine tools
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Use of measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, etc.)
  • Good communication and teamwork
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts
