Inventory Management:

o Build, maintain, and update a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.

o Track asset lifecycles, including purchase dates, warranty periods, and depreciation schedules.

Strategic Planning:

o Develop and implement an IT asset management (ITAM) strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and risk management policies.

o Analyze asset usage data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation.

Acquisition and Deployment:

o Collaborate with IT departments and vendors to procure new hardware and software, ensuring best pricing and adherence to licensing agreements.

o Manage the deployment process for new assets, including installation, configuration, and user training.

Maintenance and Upgrades:

o Oversee the maintenance of IT assets, including software updates, hardware repairs, and security patches.

o Plan and schedule asset upgrades based on performance, compatibility, and budget constraints.

License Management:

o Track and manage software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and optimize licensing costs.

o Conduct software audits to identify unauthorized installations or unused licenses.

Disposal and Security:

o Develop and implement secure processes for IT asset disposal, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and data security protocols.

o Oversee data wiping procedures to prevent sensitive information leaks from retired assets.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong understanding of IT hardware and software

Excellent inventory management and organizational skills

Proficiency in IT asset management tools and methodologies
