Summary:The Structural Designer produces structural layout, arrangement and structuralfabrication drawings of the process packages.Responsibilities:Detail structural frame in 3D models to match supports of equipment,

piping, and instrumentation in a skid with consideration to:Structural analysis output / Good Engineering practice

Minimize fabrication cost by optimizing the supports / bracings/ choosing correct joint configurations by liaising with Structural Engineer / 3D Modelers.

Follow International standards and project specifications

Understanding of the fundamental process, mechanical and structural requirements of the company’s process packages

Familiar with the requirements of Oil & Gas drawings, including normal

symbology and the requirement for consistencyUnderstand the data requirements of drawings being produced to facilitate an efficient fabrication process

Ability to translate technical data into structural drawings

Familiarity with fabrication practices

Produce detailed drawings for both proposal and project requirements

Ensure that fabrication drawings clearly present information to the shop floor

Resolve issues during fabrication, such as physical clashes

Review drawings produced by others.

Produces documents & drawings in line with the cost budgets

Education/Equivalent:Engineering Degree -- Mechanical / Civil / Structural or equivalent experience

Special Skills/Abilities Needed:8+ years of Proficient experience in structural design & detailing in Tekla or Advance Steel, as well as AutoCAD is mandatory.

Familiarity with international specifications relating to structures

Familiarity with different international standards for Modelling/ Drafting

Familiarity with 3D Modelling packages like Solidworks / Cadworks will be added advantage

Proficient in MS-Office (especially MS Excel).

Able to learn and use in house tools(SAP, PDM/EPDM/Vault software) and 3rd party software.
