Stafford Information Technology Pvt Ltd, (SIT) specializes in web application development, DevOps, cloud applications and analytical programming. We design, develop and implement systems/applications for our US clients.


Role Description:

We are looking for a full-time hybrid (WFH + in office) DevOps Engineer. SIT offices are located on Old Airport Road in Bangalore.


Responsibilities:

1.  Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production systems.

2.  Create simple shell scripts.

3.  Understand and use essential tools for handling files, directories, command-line environments, and documentation.

4.  Operate running systems, including booting into different run levels, identifying processes, starting and stopping virtual machines, and controlling services.

5.  Create and configure file systems and file system attributes, such as permissions, encryption, access control lists, and network file systems.

6.  Docker container management experience

7.  System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.

8.  Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and cloud security solutions.

9.  Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on AWS platform.

10. Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements.

11. Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code.

12. Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools.

13. Administer and troubleshoot Linux based systems. Linux administration skills/experience. Linux administration certification, continuous integration/continuous delivery, Understanding of Linux, and networking.

14. Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas.

15. Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems. Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization.


Requirements:

1.   8-10 years of experience incl. building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, IAM, ECS, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CloudFront, S3 and CloudFormation).

2.   Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements.

3.   Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform and CloudFormation.

4.   Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration.

5.   Experience with Docker, GitHub and deploying applications on AWS.

5.   Proficiency in Software Development and scripting languages

6.   Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools.

7.   Strong bias for action and ownership.

8.   Jenkins, Ansible, SonarQube and Nexus are added advantages.

9.   Senior team member should have the ability to lead and mentor juniors as required.


Qualifications:

  1. B.E. in Computer Science required.
  2. Master’s degree in Computer Science desirable (not required).
  3. Excellent verbal and written skills in English are a must.
