Job Description:

Kalam Labs is India’s First Kids Space Organization. We are undertaking a series of ambitious

space missions to nurture kids’ passion for space-tech. We are seeking a hands-on

Mechatronics Engineer with expertise in physical system integration, deep knowledge of

electromechanical components, and a passion for hardware tinkering. Must excel in rapid

prototyping, troubleshooting, and cross-disciplinary innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and integrate mechanical, electronic, and control systems into functional

prototypes and final products.

  • Conduct hands-on prototyping, testing, and design refinement to solve practical

challenges.

  • Lead the testing, troubleshooting, and refinement of prototypes.
  • Implement control systems for automated processes, focusing on optimizing performance

and reliability.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical

Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of mechatronics principles, including mechanical design,

electronics, and control systems.

  • Portfolio showcasing hands-on projects applying mechatronics principles.
  • Experience with PLCs, microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and other mechatronic

components.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in robotics, automation, or aerospace systems.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like C/C++, Python, or MATLAB for control system

development.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex

systems.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
