Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead - Infrastructure Engineering with deep, hands-on experience in cloud automation, network automation, data centre automation, observability, and monitoring. This is a technical, hands-on role where you will design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure systems. We need a proactive "doer" who can lead by example and solve complex problems through automation and cutting-edge technology.


Responsibilities

Infrastructure Automation & Engineering

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, and Pulumi.
  • Implement end-to-end automation pipelines for infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and management in AWS, and Data Centre environment
  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.


Network Automation

  • Automate network configurations, firewall rules, and security policies using tools like Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Implement SDN (Software-Defined Networking) solutions and manage network load balancers and VPN gateways.
  • Configure and manage WAF (Web Application Firewall) and Proxy Servers for secure application delivery and web traffic control.
  • Develop network monitoring and alerting using SNMP, NetFlow, and APIs.


Data Centre Automation

  • Automate bare-metal provisioning, configuration management, and virtualization using tools like VMware vSphere
  • Ensure streamlined data centre operations through API-based integrations and custom scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell etc).
  • Implement server provisioning through iPXE, PXE Boot, and Kickstart configurations.


Observability and Monitoring

  • Build and maintain observability stacks using tools like SolarWinds, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and Dynatrace.
  • Design monitoring pipelines for metrics, logs, and tracing for full application and infrastructure visibility.
  • Develop custom scripts and dashboards for proactive monitoring and incident response.


Security & Compliance

  • Implement security best practices for identity management
  • Manage system and network patching using BigFix Patch Management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
  • Perform vulnerability scans and infrastructure hardening


Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Foster a culture of innovation within the team, driving continuous improvement initiatives and staying abreast of industry advancements.

Educate and lead efforts to improve observability among all Technology teams.

Documentation

Ensure comprehensive documentation of is available for technical components, scripts/code and associated processes.


Qualifications, Experience & Expertise

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering with a background in Systems and Software Engineering.
  • Relevant certifications (like HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer etc.) are highly desirable.
  • 8-12 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, with strong expertise in scripting languages like Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell.

Proven expertise in designing, building, and managing automated infrastructure in enterprise-grade environments.

Experience leading cross-functional teams while staying hands-on with coding and infrastructure management.

  • Expertise in Automation Tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Packer, Pulumi.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services
  • Expertise in CI/CD Tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CDStrong knowledge of Containers & Orchestrations using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Expertise in Monitoring & Observability tools like SolarWinds, Prometheus, Nagios, Grafana, ELK Stack and Dynatrace.
  • Strong understanding about Networking, preferably tools like Cisco Routers & Core Switches, Fortigate Firewalls, F5 WAF, SDN, Load Balancers, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, BGP.
  • Experience of working with Security & Identity Management products like Arcos for Privileged Identity Management, Symantec Proxy Servers.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive projects and mentor developers.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align procurement activities with organizational goals.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards pertaining to management of IT systems in a regulated environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.


Location

The role can be based in our offices at Mumbai or Bangalore. We do support flexible timings for fostering a balance between in-person collaboration and the convenience of tailoring work hours to individual needs.
