Job Title:Assistant Professor - Aviation ManagementReports To:Dean – Faculty of Management SciencesJob Type: Full - Time

Qualification:Master’s degree in Aviation Management, running his own Business, or a closely related field.A Ph.D. or equivalent professional experience in the aviation industry is highly desirable.

Experience Required:A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the aviation sector, with a broad understanding of its various components.

Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver engaging, up-to-date course content for the specified aviation-specific courses across semesters 2 to 7. Use a mix of theoretical and practical teaching methods to enhance learning experiences, including case studies, simulations, and guest lectures from industry professionals. Assess and evaluate student work in a timely and constructive manner. Maintain and expand relationships with aviation industry partners to facilitate guest lectures, internships, and employment opportunities for students. Stay abreast of current trends, regulations, and developments in the aviation industry to keep course content relevant. Provide guidance and mentorship to students on academic and career development in the aviation field. Assist students in understanding the various career paths within aviation and the skills required for each. Engage in research or scholarship activities in areas relevant to aviation management. Encourage and facilitate student participation in research projects. Participate in program development, accreditation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Attend departmental and faculty meetings, contributing to the academic community.

CurriculumAviation Laws, Air Cargo and Freight Management, Airline Customer Service, Aviation Marketing, Airport Operations and Management, Revenue & Commercial Aspects in Aviation, Leadership & Strategy in Aviation, Leasing & Finance in Aviation, Aviation Quality and Safety Management.

Desired Proven experience in teaching and curriculum development in higher education is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students. Strong connections within the aviation industry and a track record of research or scholarship in aviation management topics
