Legal and Information Security and Privacy teams are a vital part of Prudential's success, shaping the future of health insurance in India. To partner us in this mission, we are looking for a talented fresh law graduate to come and work with us on the most important challenges of a startup health insurance company that takes pride in technology and consumer trust at its very core. Working with us will be like working with product, actuary, procurement and engineering teams to understand the legal and privacy implications of their work. From contract negotiations to user experience, you will be supporting to create innovative solutions to complex startup business issues. Legal and Privacy Trainee As an intern with the legal and privacy office, your typical week might include the following • Conduct thorough research on IRDAI Regulations and Group Policies and map the requirements. • Collaborate with various teams to understand their requirements on data retention, create data dictionaries and data flow diagrams. This is in respect of personal data only to ensure compliance with privacy laws. • Create first drafts of PHI internal policies under guidance of Legal Manager and Group Wide Information Security & Privacy. • Create first drafts of PHI Customer facing consent forms, Privacy/ Trust Statement. • To review existing contracts for mandatory IRDAI and Privacy clauses. • Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams to integrate feedback into drafts. • Help drive an awareness campaign within Prudential India/ PHI for privacy by design awareness in which customized workshops will be done for marketing, technology and products team. Minimum Qualification: JD, LL.B., or equivalent degree from a recognized law college. Prior internship experience in in-house or at a law firm with privacy and cybersecurity as a specialization. Ability to communicate effectively in English language. Ability to use MS Office Suite effectively. Excellent research capabilities. Preferred qualities: Curiosity about technology, law and cybersecurity. Curiosity or working knowledge of AI tools to create awareness posters, training videos etc. Background/ interest in computer applications/ technology. Location: Mumbai (full-time on-site role)
