The role involves leading the design and engineering team, overseeing transformer design projects, and ensuring compliance with international standards and client specifications.Lead and manage the design team for dry type/CRT transformer projects.Drive the strategic leadership and oversight of all electrical and mechanical design functions within the Technical Office. Ensure technical excellence, process standardization, and alignment with organizational goals for transformer product development. Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the overall design strategy for electrical and mechanical disciplines, aligned with business goals and innovation priorities.Drive adoption of advanced design technologies and tools, including automation, AI/ML, and digital twins, across all design functions.Lead design governance to ensure compliance with international standards, quality, and sustainability objectives.Collaborate with R&D and executive leadership to guide product development and integrate new technologies.Oversee design standardization and optimization efforts to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness across electrical and mechanical designs.Manage project prioritization, resource allocation, and timely delivery of high-quality design outputs.Monitor key performance indicators and drive continuous improvements in design processes.Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical specialists.Serve as the primary interface for key internal and external stakeholders on all design matters.Oversee risk management related to technical liabilities, intellectual property, and design qualityQualification & Education:Education: Bachelor Degree of EngineeringDrive innovation in design, materials, and processes for improved efficiency and reliability.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.10-12 years of proven design experience in dry type or cast resin transformers. Computer skills: Microsoft office, Auto CAD 2 DTechnical competencies:Advanced knowledge of transformer design, power systems engineering, and digital design tools.Strategic thinking and ability to connect design execution with business outcomes.Strong project and portfolio management skills.Change management and transformation leadership.Innovation management and R&D collaboration.Financial literacy in terms of design cost structures and product pricing.Interpersonal Competencies:Executive presence and influence.High emotional intelligence and team leadership.Effective decision-making under uncertainty.Cross-cultural and cross-functional collaboration.Negotiation and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
