Role Overview:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Xshield engineering team. As part of a high-performing, collaborative team in a startup environment, you will be involved in designing and building features for our flagship security platform. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who thrives in a fast-paced, ownership-driven culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain frontend and backend components using Angular.js and Node.js.
- Collaborate closely with the product and design teams to build intuitive and robust features.
- Take ownership of assigned problems – analyze, design, and implement solutions proactively.
- Debug, test, and troubleshoot issues across the software stack.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Write clear, maintainable code and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2 to 6 years of software development in Networking or Cybersecurity products including development in SaaS Platforms
- Strong programming skills in Node.js and Angular.js.
- Good understanding of micro-services and SaaS architecture
- Good problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities along with strong knowledge in Data Structures and Algorithms
- Self-driven, quick learner with a proactive mindset – comfortable with minimal supervision.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability and willingness to work onsite from our Bangalore office.
Nice to Have:
- Experience or familiarity with Python.
- Exposure to cloud product development
