Note: Priority will be given to candidates with prior experience managing projects in formulation, Discovery Chemistry, or Discovery Biology/Biologics area.
The ideal candidate will be responsible to oversee assigned projects using the Syngene approach to execution, ensuring optimal project performance, revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Engage with customers to exceed project expectations and deliver quality results on time, within budget.
Fully understand and fulfill contract obligations; initiate projects effectively by involving the right stakeholders and meeting system requirements.
Prepare and secure approval for planning documents, proactively manage risks, and resolve issues promptly.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives through effective communication.
Conduct review meetings, track action items, and follow up to ensure project execution.
Maintain control through governance frameworks, share timely updates, and escalate as needed.
Close out project tasks systematically and analyze data for continuous improvement.
Foster cross-functional collaboration and maintain strong customer relationships, managing feedback and escalations effectively.
Education Requirements:
A degree in disciplines relevant to the life sciences industry, ideally with additional qualifications in management.
A globally recognized project management certification is highly desirable.
Required Experience and Skills:
A minimum of 5 to 12 years of experience in a reputable CRO/CDMO/Product/Services/Consulting organization, with at least 3 to 6 years in a project management role and managing a portfolio worth over USD 1 million in a multicultural environment.
Exceptions can be made for candidates with exceptional qualifications, with corresponding adjustments in job grade.
Extensive knowledge of project management disciplines
Strong proficiency in project management software, ideally Microsoft Project and Project Online, along with analytics using Microsoft Excel (preferably with experience in AI/ML)
Solid understanding of the business and scientific landscape, as well as compliance frameworks
Good grasp of finance, modeling, and simulation
Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects with empathy in a fast-paced, innovative, and dynamic environment while maintaining flexibility, proactivity, resourcefulness, and efficiency; capable of resolving conflicts in a win-win manner
Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
