JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Chennai

Exp: 2 to 6 yrs

Job Name: Component Specialist Load Calculations Engineer

General Description : We want to enlarge our team by a load calculation engineer for service sales activities. Optimizing our wind turbines performance and driving cost of energy down is a key target for us, which we will achieve by supporting and offering fast and quality support on our clients for existing projects by optimizing windfarms based on the up-to-date state-of-the-art. You will be working within a skilled and experienced team also part of the design and validation.

Tasks:

Planning and execution of load assessment tasks within the service sales projects, i.e. site- specific load calculations for assess wind conditions by using advance aero-elastic dynamic simulation software such as Bladed and/or Alaska/wind or approximation tools. Optimizing controller functions as well as supporting in the different components' design in a multidisciplinary team. Documentation of results and their assessment in technical reports. Support of service projects and project work according to Nordex project management system. Support on the continuous development and improvement of the toolchain and methodologies.

Qualification/Training: M. Sc. of equivalent in Mechanical engineering/physics or similar with specialization dynamics and simulation or renewable energy.

Skills:

  • Project Management professional experience on related tasks regarding aerodynamic simulation.
  • Good knowledge of dynamic simulations of complex systems in an industrial application with tools as e.g. Bladed, Alaska, HawcStab, Flex5... as well as for fatigue analysis methodologies and/or structure dynamics.
  • Optionally additional skills on usage of automatization tools preferable.
  • Good team player and very good interpersonal skills, strong communicator.
  • Dynamism and flexibility in a shifting daily work.
