Our client is seeking a Process & Environmental Specialist to play a crucial role in their global operations. This expert will contribute vital insights for mineral processing, material selection, and equipment choices for both processing and pollution control as they design new plants for worldwide contracts. Drawing on their background in environmental studies, material technology, and metallurgy, the specialist will:Optimize processing methodsIdentify suitable materials and chemicals for mineral processingEnsure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations

This position requires a blend of technical expertise and practical knowledge to support the client's international plant design initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :Lead the design and material selection for

mineral processing

and

waste recovery plants , ensuring adherence to industry standards and environmental compliance.Design and implement

pollution control systems , conduct

environmental studies

and

soil analysis , and prepare

ESG reports .Optimize the use of

materials, chemicals, and binders

for mineral processing with a focus on

metals

like

steel

and

aluminum , and processes like

beneficiation

and

agglomeration .Ensure compliance with

chemical

and

fire safety standards , and conduct

ISO 14001

environmental impact studies.Implement energy management strategies to reduce the environmental footprint of process plants.Collaborate with

project teams ,

suppliers , and

regulatory agencies

to ensure all designs meet project goals and regulatory requirements.Establish

quality testing labs

for material and finished goods testing and set up

pilot plants

to test waste recovery processes.Work with external laboratories and institutes to conduct material research and optimize processes.Support regional teams in securing

environmental permits

and implementing solutions for waste repurposing.

Qualifications & Experience :Bachelor's or Master's degree

in

Chemical

or

Environmental Engineering .10+ years

of experience in

mineral processing plant design , equipment selection, and

pollution control systems .Expertise in

material technology ,

metallurgy , and

waste management .Familiarity with

ISO 14001

standards and

ESG reporting

is preferred.

Key Competencies :Strong technical skills in

chemical and environmental engineering .Proficiency in

environmental studies

and

soil analysis .Strong knowledge of

safety standards , including chemical and fire safety regulations.Commercial acumen

and the ability to optimize processes and manage energy usage.Excellent

communication

and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across

multinational, multicultural teams .Creative problem-solving

skills with the ability to think unconventionally and find innovative solutions.

Soft Skills :Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).Experience working in

global organizations (MNCs)

is a plus.Systematic, process-oriented, with excellent

documentation

skills.Ability to manage conflicts and work collaboratively.Willingness to travel
