Bioinformatics Specialist

Your Tasks
- Use your bioinformatics expertise to extend an RShiny application with novel analytical features, e.g., for RNA-Seq, variant calling, or epigenetic data.
- Implement R code to support the analytical and statistical capabilities of the application.
- Create intuitive & interactive visualizations, summarizing key insights from the data.
Essential Requirements
- You have a BSc or MSc in Bioinformatics, Software Engineering, or similar.
- You have at least one year of experience working with RShiny and more than 2 years of experience working with R.
- You have bioinformatics domain expertise in one of the following areas: RNA-Seq, variant calling, or epigenetics.
- You have a DevOps mindset: you build it, you run it, and take ownership.
- You are self-motivated and reliable.
- You have experience with the basic software development tools such as Docker, Git, Jira, etc.
- You know the ins-and-outs of statistical testing and know how to create intuitive visualizations.
Desirable Traits
- You have experience writing bioinformatics pipelines, ideally with Nextflow.
- You have experience with cloud computing (AWS)
