Sr. Manager | AGM - Process Engineering & Product Development:
The candidate should be from Process Engineering background in the Auto / Steel based manufacturing Tier 1 or Tier 2 to Auto OEMs. Should be expereinced in Metallurgical examination and its interpretation in steel heat treatment and processes.
The position holder is responsible for :
New Product Development, Design Engineering, New Business Development, Project Management, Process Enhancement, Materials, Heat Treatment, Metallurgical Failure Analysis, Lean and Team Management. Experience in th entire process of development of new products from designing, validation of design, trials and testing.
Responsibilities include :
1) Introduce new technology with machinery, process parameters to meet the standards of required quality, cost & productivity for existing & new products based on the market survey, customer interaction, technological trend & development and establish robust process design, process qualification, process trouble shooting, process improvement, process optimization, Heat Treatment, Metallurgical Failure Analysis, Cycle time reduction, Bench Marking and failure investigation in order to contribute to business growth.
2) Coordinate for Customer/Field /warranty complaints resolution by Failure analysis,process improvement and PPM reduction through corrective and preventive actions.
Understanding of heat treatment processes and suggest improvement for optimizing of end product requirement .
3) Conduct in process defect analysis – Mechanical and metallurgical study and suggest corrective and preventive measures.
4) Lead, manage and guide process development for new products by:
Process design for new enquiry.
Contract review with customer
5) Process design for Value engineering requirement of customer and validation in internal processes.
6) Interaction with R&D for functional test and specific test requirement .
7) Constant interaction with customer to update technology / process improvement to meet customer requirement
Education - M.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
Experience - 15 plus years
