About the job

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for contributing towards various aspects of research activities at Prayoga through internal and external collaborations. The position also requires handling at least two chemistry teaching sessions (school level) per week. Candidates with MSc degrees will be considered for the Research Associate position, and candidates with PhD or postdoctoral experience will be considered for Researcher or Senior Researcher positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Synthesis and characterization of rubber composites
  • Preparation of different polymer composites 
  • Arranging and participating in workshops
  • Literature review, conducting experiments, troubleshooting, data analysis, and report generation
  • Training fellow researchers
  • Teaching school chemistry (at least 2 sessions each week)

Qualification

  • MSc or PhD degree in chemistry or material science


Minimum Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in organic synthesis and polymerization reaction
  • Familiarity with different purification and characterization techniques for organic compounds and polymers
  • Knowledge in organic, polymer, and material science
  • Willingness to teach chemistry to school students
  • Experience in working independently and also in a team in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Industrial experience
  • Proficiency in Kannada will be advantageous, but not mandatory
  • Teaching experience of 1 year or more
