having experience in rotating machinery design, application engg., specifying rotating machinery for Refinery / Petrochemical / Gas Processing / Fertiliser / Chemical plants. The applicant should have thorough knowledge of detail engg. & aspects related to equipment maintenance.
Specific familiarity with applicable National and International Design codes as used for rotating machinery, and technical specifications of leading engg. companies is desirable.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university with 10-15 years of design experience in Refinery / Petrochemical / Gas Processing / Fertiliser / Chemical Plants.
· For this position, it is desirable to have experience and certifiable knowledge about Rotating equipment including Pumps, Compressors, Turbines etc. Specific knowledge about Compressors selection, design, simulation, optimization, and troubleshooting is necessary including:
o Compression service design procedures
o Compressor type selection
o Driver type selection
o Compression machinery serviceability and sparing
o Compressor unit piping and process train equipment
o Compressor unit auxiliary and installation facilities
o Compressor simulation and calculations including determination of number of stages, interstage
systems, etc.
o Data sheet preparation, technical specifications, development of material requisition, technical bid tabulation and economic evaluation, etc.
o Good level of understanding and handling of the oil & gas industry codes and standards (i.e., ASME, API, ANSI, etc.), specially API 617, 618 and 619.
o Knowledge of Client standards, typically overseas clients like ARAMCO, EXXON, ENI etc. will be an added advantage.
o Knowledge of the market, equipment vendors & suppliers
o Experience of equipment inspection, preparation of test plans, pre-commissioning & commissioning of compressors.
