Role & responsibilities

• Extensive experience in mechanical erection and maintenance, preferably overseeing the mechanical aspects of Boiler, Turbine, and Generator (BTG) erection activities in a power plant
• In-depth knowledge of power plant systems erections, including turbines, generators, pumps, and piping
• Planning, coordinating, and supervising the erection process, as well as managing teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop and implement detailed erection plans for BTG equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, and associated auxiliaries.
• Oversee the work of contractors, vendors, and site personnel involved in the erection process, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Ensure that all erection activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures, promoting a safe working environment.
• Implement quality control measures to verify that the erected equipment meets specified standards, protocols and performance requirements
• Monitor the progress of erection activities, ensuring they are completed on time and within the allocated budget.
• Manage and coordinate the work of contractors, ensuring they meet their contractual obligations and performance targets.
• Maintain accurate records of erection progress, deviations, ECC punch points and any corrective actions taken, preparing regular reports for senior management.
• Mentor and develop a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure their effective performance
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

Skills:

• Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects and coordinate multiple teams

• MS Word, Excel, Primavera, PPTs and Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as SAP, Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management and documentation

• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in mechanical construction

• Technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in power plant construction
