Job purpose:

The designengineer’s responsibilities includemodelling & drawingsfor Material handlingfor equipment and inline components such as instrument items and valves.


Educational or experience requirements:

Diploma/Bachelor’s (Mechanical) with minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in relevant discipline.


Responsibilities


  • Detail design using E3D modelling shall carry out followingtypical activities as per materialhandling philosophy and handling guidelines.
  • Verify/Update Material handlingpath, drop zone & pick zones, handlingmethod, devices, obstruction volumes, etc.
  • Verify/Update Permanent material handling devices obstruction for monorail, pad eye, pulling eyes, etc.
  • Verify/Update temporary material handling devices for trolley hoist, Cart, skates, beam clamp, floor crane, A-frame,etc.
  • Perform clash check and resolveinterfaces.
  • Space reservation of equipmentand handling methods
  • Preparation of AutoCAD drawings like clip drawingsfor vessels, E3D extract floor load map for materialhandling.
  • Demonstrate material handlingduring model reviews30%, 60% and 90%.
  • Co-ordination with other disciplines for interface engineering.
  • Preparation of handlingappendix for equipment and valves.
  • Any other relevantactivities as defined by the Manager/Lead.


Desired Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience


  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degreein engineering or related technicalfield.
  • At least 10 - 12 years of experience in Designfor Oil &Gas project.
  • Software knowledge E3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD, MS office, etc.
  • Should have minimum knowledge of material handling philosophy and device catalogues.
  • Experience in detail design of Material handling for equipment, devices, valves and relateditems.
