Overview

We are a small marketing research and UX research team within Gallagher’s Digital Marketing organization reporting into Colleen Wright. We carry out both market research (qualitative and quantitative) and UX research designed to improve the user-centricity of our various digital properties (, , , , etc.). We are seeking an entry-level (, 1-to-3-years of experience) quantitatively oriented research analyst to assist the team in the analysis of quantitative data sets, originating from market research survey data and data from Google Analytics (GA) to assist in the definition and execution of UX research. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to uncover insights about user attitudes, behavior and website performance. You will work closely with our UX and marketing teams to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that will drive our strategic decisions. Your ability to communicate findings effectively to cross functional stakeholders will be crucial in ensuring that our data-driven insights are understood and utilized across the organization. Additionally, you will be tasked with creating detailed reports and visualizations to present your findings in an engaging and easily digestible format. You will also assist in identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data that can provide deeper insights into user behavior and traffic patterns on our websites and across devices and audience segmentations. By leveraging your analytical skills and attention to detail, you will play a key role in optimizing user experience and enhancing our overall marketing strategy. How you'll make an impact Leveraging Microsoft Excel (, pivot tables, formulas, etc.), clean and analyze data collected from market research surveys to determine key trends and insights. Create research reports using PowerPoint, based on Excel-based analyses, that are easy to understand and actionable. Assist in design, development, and programming of market research surveys via online survey platforms such as Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey. Analyze web traffic data leveraging Google Analytics (GA4) to help define traffic patterns, click events, and user behavior on the website which will help UX research approaches and analyses. Conduct competitive analysis by capturing screenshots and documenting key customer journeys, and presenting them in presentations that show how competitors and other digital businesses display information. About you Excellent spoken and written proficiency in the English language. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to carry out advanced quantitative analyses and data visualization. Strong proficiency in creating PowerPoint-based reports leveraging Excel-based analyses. Experience with marketing-related data feeds and analytics tools, such as Google Analytics (GA). Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and bring new ideas, rather than just "checking the box.” Ability to present complex data in an easy-to-understand manner to marketing and sales audiences. Intellectual curiosity and a desire to keep pace with advances in statistical methodology for interrogating datasets. Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics.
