We're looking for a conversion-focused web developer who can build fast, reliable WordPress & Shopify sites that drive leads and sales. You'll partner with marketing to translate briefs into high-performing pages, instrument analytics, and continually improve conversion through data, UX, and speed.

What You'll Do (Tasks & Responsibilities)

  • Own site builds end-to-end on WordPress (themes, builders, custom blocks) and Shopify (themes/Liquid, sections).
  • Ship conversion-ready pages: landing pages, offer pages, blogs, product pages, carts/checkout customizations.
  • Instrument & measure: set up GA4, GTM, pixels (Meta/Google/LinkedIn), events, enhanced e-commerce, and goals.
  • Optimize for speed & UX: Core Web Vitals, image strategy, lazy loading, caching/CDN, accessibility basics.
  • CRO & experimentation: implement A/B tests, heatmaps/session recordings (Hotjar/Clarity), iterate on insights.
  • SEO-ready development: clean HTML, schema, on-page structure, internal links, 404s/redirects, sitemap/robots.
  • Marketing collaboration: translate copy/wireframes into pixel-perfect builds; propose UX tweaks that lift CVR.
  • Maintain & evolve: version control, staging, QA, backups, plugin/app hygiene, uptime monitoring.
  • Automations & integrations: forms/CRM/webhooks (HubSpot/Zoho/Mailchimp), checkout/upsell apps, Zapier where useful.
  • Documentation: page/component libraries, release notes, and clear handoffs to marketers and designers.

Must-Have Skills

  • WordPress: Gutenberg/Block themes or Elementor; custom post types, ACF, basic PHP.
  • Shopify: Theme customization in Liquid, sections, basic app ecosystem, metafields.
  • Front-end: Semantic HTML, modern CSS (Flex/Grid), vanilla JS basics; responsive, accessible builds.
  • CRO mindset: understands funnels, offer hierarchy, form UX, micro-copy/UX writing basics.
  • Analytics & tags: GA4, GTM, pixel/event setups, UTM discipline, QA of data layers.
  • Performance & QA: Core Web Vitals tooling (Lighthouse, PSI), debugging, cross-browser/device testing.
  • SEO fundamentals: site structure, , meta patterns, canonicalization, 301s.

Nice-to-Have

  • Headless basics , Hydrogen) or API integrations.
  • Design collaboration (Figma) and light asset work.
  • Experience with Klaviyo/Mailchimp flows, post-purchase upsells.
  • A/B testing tools (Google Optimize legacy, VWO, Convert).

Mindset

  • Marketing-first: starts from the goal (lead/sale) and works backward to structure and UI.
  • Data-driven: ships hypotheses, measures impact, iterates.
  • Pragmatic craft: picks the simplest stack that is fast, maintainable, and scalable.

Experience

  • 2+ years building WordPress and/or Shopify sites with measurable business impact.
  • Portfolio showing live pages with notes on your role, stack, and results (before/after, CVR, speed).

Tools You'll Likely Use

WordPress, Shopify (Liquid), GA4, GTM, Meta/Google pixels, Hotjar/Clarity, Search Console, Lighthouse/PSI, Git, Figma, CDN/caching plugins, schema generators, email/CRM connectors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹35,000.00 per month
