About the role


As a Supply Chain Planning Manager, you’ll lead network optimisation, manage warehousing and logistics, drive innovation, and oversee vendor relationships. You’ll mentor regional teams, streamline operations, and implement cutting-edge solutions to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused supply chain processes.


1. Network planning:

- Develop and implement strategies for optimising the distribution network, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products

- Analyse market trends, demand requirements, and inventory levels to plan and adjust the distribution network accordingly

- Collaborate with sales, production, and other departments to align network planning with business objectives


2. Distribution planning:

- Plan and manage the distribution of products to various sales channels, including distributors, dealers, and retailers

- Ensure that distribution plans are aligned with customer demand, minimising stockouts and overstock situations

- Monitor and evaluate the performance of distribution channels, making adjustments as needed to improve service levels


3. Warehousing management:

- Oversee the operations of warehouses located in factory premises, ensuring optimal space utilisation, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance

- Implement best practices in warehousing, including lean management techniques, to improve efficiency and reduce costs

- Lead the development and execution of warehouse automation and technology integration projects


4. Logistics management:

- Oversee all aspects of logistics operations, including transportation, freight, and delivery schedules

- Negotiate and manage contracts with logistics service providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable service

- Implement logistics optimisation initiatives, such as route planning and load consolidation, to reduce costs and improve delivery times


5. Vendor management:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers

- Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to ensure the best value for the company

- Monitor vendor performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service


6. Team leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of regional stores and logistics heads, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

- Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and provide feedback to ensure that team members are meeting or exceeding expectations

- Encourage cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing among regional teams


7. Innovation and change management:

- Champion innovative solutions and process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and responsiveness. Lead change management initiatives within the supply chain function, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption of new processes and technologies

- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices and apply this knowledge to drive continuous improvement
