high-impact Product QA Lead

Responsibilities:
Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Own and define the end-to-end quality strategy for our products.
- Establish best practices, frameworks, and quality benchmarks to achieve zero critical defects in production.
- Champion shift-left testing by integrating quality early in the development cycle.
- Foster a 10x QA culture—where quality is everyone's responsibility.
Automation & Performance Testing
- Lead the automation-first initiative; automate test cases across UI, API, and performance testing.
- Maintain and expand test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright, etc.).
- Implement CI/CD-integrated quality gates to prevent defective code deployment.
- Optimize testing speed and efficiency to ensure rapid release cycles.
Testing Excellence
- Own functional, regression, security, performance, and usability testing strategies.
- Drive AI-powered test automation and smart test selection to improve efficiency.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate quality risks before they impact users.
- Ensure robust monitoring and observability in production environments.
Collaboration & Mentorship
- Partner with developers, product managers, and DevOps to build quality into every phase.
- Mentor and level up the QA team, instilling an automation-first, problem-solving mindset.
- Drive data-driven quality decisions using test metrics and analytics.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience
in Product Quality Engineering, with
3+ years in a QA Lead role. Start-up experience is highly desirable. - Possesses a strong ability to comprehend business requirements and effectively drive STLC artifacts throughout the software release process.
- Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and align quality goals with business impact.
- Experience working in
agile and DevOps-driven environments. - Strong knowledge of
API testing, security testing, and microservices validation. - Proven expertise in
test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and performance testing. - Hands-on experience with tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, JMeter, Playwright, Postman, or similar.
Desired Skills:
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Experience with continuous integration testing, QA procedures & Tools framework
- Experience with Open source tools & performance testing
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage deadlines.
- Committed, self-motivated person, and interested in learning new technologies
- Excellent communication with fluency in English, very dynamic, and interpersonal skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with AI-driven test automation tools (e.g., Testim, Mabl, Functionize).
- Exposure to cloud-based testing (AWS).
- Experience in a SaaS-based product development environment.
