This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional communication, and the ability to align cross-functional teams to achieve long-term organizational goals.Key Responsibilities:- Leadership & People Management:- Lead, mentor, and coach SRE engineers and senior SRE engineers to build a high-performing team culture.- Foster professional development and career growth through continuous feedback and guidance.- Technical Excellence:- Demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency in Pearson’s technology stack, ensuring system scalability, availability, and reliability.- Drive the adoption of cutting-edge tools, automation, and best practices in site reliability engineering.- Operational & Project Management:- Manage and oversee complex, high-impact projects with advanced project management skills.- Develop and execute strategies that champion operational excellence and continuous improvement.- Direct initiatives that enhance system reliability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.- Risk Management & Crisis Handling:- Conduct risk assessments and design strategies to mitigate potential threats.- Lead crisis management and post-incident reviews, ensuring lessons learned are applied to future improvements.- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment:- Function as the key link between the SRE team and other organizational units, harmonizing goals and ensuring smooth collaboration.- Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams to deliver highly available and performant systems.- Strategic Thinking & Innovation:- Drive long-term operational excellence through strategic initiatives that align with business objectives.- Cultivate an environment of innovation, enabling the SRE team to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.Qualifications & Skills:- 7+ years of progressive professional experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related technical leadership roles.- Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams with strong people management skills.- Advanced technical expertise in modern cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and automation frameworks.- Strong project management skills with experience in Agile/DevOps practices.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence across multiple stakeholders.- Adept at risk assessment, incident management, and operational crisis handling.- Strong strategic mindset with a focus on scalability, automation, and system reliability.About Company Profile:At IntraEdge Inc, we believe in a growth mindset—we encourage our teams to not only excel in their domain but also to cross-train across technologies, take on new challenges, and expand into areas beyond their current scope.
