Software test analyst

Life on the team Computacenter GIS business unit is seeking a confident and experienced Test Analyst professional, a specialist resource skilled in testing concepts, process, develop test cases, execute and report in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will take responsibilities of executing assigned testing projects, gaining in depth understanding of the CC’s business process flows/application functionalities, ensuring high quality in accordance with CC standards and processes. Good communication skills and relationship building will enable the candidate to excel at the role and advance their career within Computacenter. What you’ll do Test Planning (5%) Participate in Test planning to provide estimates on Test preparation, Test execution based on requirement analysis Provide or escalate issues/risks to the Test Manager to eliminate bottlenecks during Test case preparation and Test execution Provide daily regular progress updates to Test Manager on the tasks assigned Participate/contribute in Test progress review meetings, defect triage calls by interacting with development, business users or any other stakeholders for testing activities to ensure smooth delivery. Test Execution (90%) Review test plan Review Spira structure (releases, test sets, test cases) Review progress reporting Review Test Progress & Defect Triage meetings Create detailed Test cases against requirements Obtain review and sign-off from BA/SMEs Requirements mapping / traceability matrix Conduct Test execution against test cases Ensure test cases are 100% covered against requirements Log defects against failed test cases and/or other defects not mapped to any test cases with details in Spira by classifying the defect with appropriate severity/priority Participate in defect triage calls to explain the significance of defects and ensure defects are retested post resolution. Provide daily progress updates, issues/blocks during test execution that impacts timelines to the Test Manager and/or project PMs. Extend support during UAT and/or Hypercare for any clarifications. Project Closure (5%) Review defect open status Review Lesson learnt outcomes What you’ll need Overall 4 - 7 years of experience as Test Analyst Good knowledge on Service Now product as well as ITSM process to perform end to end functional testing Experience in any of Test automation tool other than ATF Strong knowledge in Testing techniques, Strong in manual testing, Good in Test management tools, Ability to develop and execute test scripts with minimal supervision. Good understanding of the SDLC Excellent understanding of the Test lifecycle Good understanding on Defect management process Collaborate with any other support or dependency groups during Test creation/Test execution/defects tracking Create knowledge base as appropriate Participate/Conduct Defect triage calls with appropriate details Ability to understand the big picture of the project scope or the application Regression suite identification/collection Estimate test activities for your area of responsibility Analyse business, functional and technical requirements and translate them into testable artefacts Define test data requirements to support test case design as per test standards Review change requests to identify impact on existing test packs Execute tests and capture test results as per test standards Assist the Test Lead/Test Managers during Test planning phase and progress reporting stage.
