Senior Nodejs Developer (EXP : 8+years) immediate joiners

About the role: This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Nodejs Developer to join a growing start up. You will be responsible for designing, building and launching new products and also additional
features and capabilities on our existing suite of products.
This role requires a resourceful, solution-focused developer who can also lead and mentor the
development team, nurturing and encouraging juniors where needed and ensuring all coding is to a high
standard.
With excellent knowledge of NodeJS, MySQL and AWS and an appetite to explore other technologies
and languages to deliver the best possible solutions, you will have experience developing with serverless
architecture and will ensure our software solutions are kept in line with our company goals and products
as we scale.
You will have an analytical mindset, a keen eye for detail, and be focused on using technology to provide
real-world solutions. You will work alongside the CTO and technical team, bringing your expertise and
opinion to the bear, enabling us to deliver our business goals effectively, efficiently and to a high degree
of excellence.
Responsibilities:
? Understand the business goals and how they translate into application features
? Collaborate with the CTO and team to design, build, release & manage applications
? Design and develop new functionality and enhance existing solutions following our core principles
? Write well designed, high quality code to program complete applications at a fast pace and within
deadline
? Design creative prototypes
? Assist with site architecture and development strategy
? Create system guides and designs for complex changes to mitigate risks and provide guidance on
technical approach
? Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
? Look for opportunities to automate repetitive tasks
? Act as a mentor for less-experienced peers through both technical knowledge and leadership skills
? Efficiently utilise Continuous Delivery and DevOps tools and practices to build and deploy software
? Care about the quality of the work you deliver and have a technician and creative mindset
? Be a team player, specialising in development but happy to get involved in other areas
? Bring your own ideas to the table
? Operate within the Panasa’s Values & Ethics Policy
Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
? Proven experience as a NodeJS application developer
? Proven experience developing & consuming Rest APIs
? Proven experience working with MySQL
? Proven experience building cloud based serverless applications, ideally using AWS
? At least one additional programming language such as C#, Java (J2EE) etc
? Intermediate level knowledge of front-end technologies such as React, GatsbyJS
? In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development
tools
? Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles
? Financial Technology, Payments or Open Banking experience
? Excellent communication skills
? Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
? Comfortable with agile methods such as Scrum
? Great attention to detail and time-management skills
? Comfortable coaching and mentoring
