Job Summary :We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Reconciliation Assistant to join our team on a contract basis. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to gain valuable experience in the field of accounting. The ideal candidate will assist with the daily reconciliation of financial accounts, ensuring that all transactions are accurate, balanced, and in compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities :Perform regular reconciliations of bank and general ledger accounts.Compare and match accounting records, identifying discrepancies and inconsistencies.Investigate and resolve discrepancies, working with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting.Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and quarterly reconciliations.Maintain accurate records of all reconciliation activities and adjustments made.Assist in posting journal entries for reconciliation discrepancies.Support the accounting team with the preparation of year-end reports and audits.Communicate effectively with other departments to clarify and resolve any issues related to accounts.Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications :Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation processes.Ability to analyze and solve problems with minimal supervision.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills :Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Prior experience with account reconciliationExperience with financial software
