We are seeking an Environment Officer who plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all projects undertaken by the organization comply with environmental regulations and standards. Responsible for obtaining necessary approvals, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering environmental awareness, this position is crucial for promoting sustainable practices and minimizing environmental impact.


Salary upto - 10LPA


Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Obtain environmental and pollution board approvals for projects across various locations, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Documentation Management : Oversee the timely completion of all required documentation and preparations necessary for approvals and site visits, maintaining meticulous records for regulatory purposes.
  • Coordination and Data Collection: Collaborate with consultants, architect teams, and MEP teams to gather essential data required for environmental clearances and approvals.
  • Compliance Maintenance: Liaise with government agencies to maintain regulatory and site compliance regarding water cess returns, waste management, and energy consumption.
  • Government Liaisoning: Establish effective communication with MoEF and pollution control boards, managing the filing of Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO) applications and responses to notices.
  • Site Compliance Assurance: Ensure 100% compliance with environmental requirements at all construction sites, conducting regular audits and inspections to verify adherence to standards.
  • Stakeholder Education: Educate project heads and stakeholders on environmental regulations and best practices, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility within the organization.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Have 5 to 8 years’ of experience in Environmental approvals, preferably in construction or real estate.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications for documentation and data management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
