Our R&D division is growing globally, and we are looking for an experienced Embedded Team Lead to join our dynamic team at the

new R&D site

in Bangalore, India.

As the

Embedded Team Lead , you will lead a team of talented embedded engineers in designing, developing, and implementing advanced power electronic control systems. With your extensive experience in Firmware Development and people management, you will play a critical role in our projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation.

What will you be doing?Lead the design and development of embedded systems and firmware for SolarEdge's power products, including inverters, power optimizers, energy storage solutions, and communication interfaces.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and leadership to ensure project goals are met.Excellent project management skills, with experience managing complex projects across multidisciplinary teams.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers, to define system requirements and architect innovative embedded solutions.Develop and implement efficient and reliable embedded software in C/C++ for various microcontrollers and processors used in SolarEdge products.Conduct thorough testing and verification of embedded software to ensure its functionality, performance, and compliance with quality standards.Troubleshoot and debug embedded software and hardware interactions, identifying and resolving issues throughout the product development lifecycle.Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members and ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards.Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in embedded systems to propose and integrate cutting-edge technologies into SolarEdge's products.Collaborate with manufacturing and validation teams to support the production and testing of embedded systems during the manufacturing process.Support the certification process by providing necessary documentation and technical inputs to comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team of engineers.Excellent project management skills, with experience managing complex projects across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements:Bachelor's (B.E./B.Tech.) or master’s degree (M.E./M.Tech.) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of

12 years

of experience in embedded systems and firmware development power electronics, with at

least 4 years

in a people management role.Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C++, with hands-on experience in real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal development.Strong understanding of microcontrollers, microprocessors, and embedded system architectures.Hand-on experience with Microprocessors such as TI DSP Controllers, ST, Renesas, etc.Experience with advanced SW control common methods such as

SIL /HILExperience with test automation.Experience with

PLECS / Typhoon HIL

is desirable.Good knowledge of RTOS concepts is desirable.Ability to identify, and troubleshoot hardware and software technical problems.Working knowledge of the protocols and devices driver for

SPI, I2C, UART, CANDesign

and

implement control algorithms

for digital control of power electronics systems, such as

DC/DC converters

and

DC/AC Inverters

operating at high switching frequencies.Strong knowledge and proven experience in developing control algorithms

for Power electronics converters/Inverters.Experience developing device drivers and executing a tight interrupt loop in bare metal implementation.Experience in

optimizing firmware algorithms to enhance system efficiency

and

reliability .Working knowledge in using JTAG/SWD debugger.Experience in board bring-up, peripheral integration, and device driver development.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering robust and reliable embedded software.Knowledge of software development tools, version control systems, and debugging tools for embedded systems.Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Experience in the renewable energy or power electronics industry is an added advantage.Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during product development. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in power electronics and firmware technologies.Drive results within constraints of Product life cycle development and production at scale.Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving tangible and measurable results.
